When is the best time to do the online sessions for my weddingdance?

When the best time to do the lessons is different for everyone. What it basically comes down to is that it has to suit your schedules.

Some things you can take into account are:

  1. The time until your wedding
  2. Sufficient time to practice between online sessions
  3. Even distribution between the trial lesson and the wedding
  4. Holidays and bachelor parties
  5. Increasing teaching frequency
  6. Wedding season / seasonal discount
  7. Type of package you choose
  8. Optimal learning effect

1. The time until your wedding

If you registered shortly before your wedding, it is important to plan your online sessions as soon as possible. In that case it is also good to check with your trainer how many lessons still fit in the agenda.

If you have plenty of time, we usually reason backwards from the wedding date for planning. If you want lessons every week, start at the wedding date and then plan the lessons every week until you have planned the number of lessons that you have agreed.

2. Sufficient time to practise between online sessions.

For last minute it is often no longer possible to reserve a lot of time between classes to practice. If you started on time, you can, taking into account your own schedule and that of your future, plan the online sessions in such a way that there are a number of opportunities for you to practice at home in between the online lessons. Often a lesson every week or a lesson every two weeks is a nice schedule. For couples starting a year in advance, it is often every month in the first months and every two weeks later.

3. Even distribution over time

Many couples choose to spread the online sessions evenly over time between the trial lesson and the wedding date. The advantage of this planning is that you can continue the lessons immediately after the trial lesson. This also ensures a certain peace and regularity.

or if you haven’t signed up for lessons yet, plan your trial lesson.

4. Holidays and bachelorparties

In the holiday periods it is good to take into account your own and our holidays. We do everything we can to have enough trainers available throughout the year to give the lessons, but our trainers also have a holiday sometimes. When your wedding falls on the trainer’s holiday, plan all the lessons before it. We strive to process these as soon as possible in the planning as soon as holidays are known and to inform our customers about this.

In every planning it is good to take into account a possible cancellation of 1 lesson for both partners due to an unexpected bachelor party.

5. Increasing frequency of online sessions

In this way of planning the lessons, we assume that the closer you get to the wedding, the faster the online sessions follow each other. You start with 1 lesson per month, then 1 lesson every two weeks, every week and just before your wedding you plan two lessons per week.

For example, if you have 20 hours of online sessions, plan 6 hours of lessons 3 weeks before the wedding, and 2 lessons of one hour each week. The previous weeks 6 weeks an hour every week, 1 lesson every 2 weeks for 8 weeks and 4 months 1 hour for each month.

6. Wedding season / seasonal discount

If you want to take full advantage of seasonal discounts, do as many lessons as possible in November, December, January and February.

For example, if you do 10 hours of lessons, plan 7 hours of these in these months and divide the remaining 3 hours over the period 1 March until your wedding or just before your wedding.

7. The type of package you choose

From the wedding you reason to now and divide the number of lessons you do, for example, once a week and then for the number of weeks that corresponds to the number of lessons.

For example, for marriage on June 1st and 15 lessons: 15 weeks prior to June 1, 1 hour of lessons every week.

8. Optimal learning effect

The learning effect is greatest when you do lessons of 1 hour and then there is more repetition.

The most efficient do more hour lessons. Lessons of more than 2 hours at a time are possible, but for most people this is too long. A lesson can be quite intensive and after 2 hours you record less information than in these first 2 hours.

For example, if you do 15 lessons, you can do 10 lessons of 1.5 hours or 15 lessons of 1 hour. When you do 20 lessons you can do 10 lessons of 2 hours or 20 of 1 hour. Combinations are also possible, for example with 10 lessons 6x 1.5 hours and 1 lesson of 1 hour.

There is no travel time for people who take online lessons and you do not have to take this into account.
